Hand-built Jack-O-Lanterns!

$50.00
Sold Out

Tis the season of the haunt! Let’s carve a pumpkin 🎃

In this 2 hour handbuilding workshop, you will be guided through all the steps needed to make your very own jack-o-lantern. You’ll pinch, roll, squeeze, and carve the perfect pumpkin into being. Then you’ll add the perfect layer of underglaze for that final spooky touch. Unlike their much softer cousins, this punkin’ will last a lifetime!

Children 10 and older are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Parents with children should register for 2 spots. Class is limited to 8 participants.

Please check our FAQ’s page for additional information on our classes and the studio!

This is a one day, 2 hour class. You’ll pick up your finished pieces 3-4 weeks after the class.

Meet the Instructor

Lindsay Wood  (she/her) began playing with clay back in 2015 when she took her first ceramics class at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond, and has been hooked ever since! Using handbuilding techniques, she creates both functional and sculptural forms. Some of her wares are carved with imagery reflective of her inspirations, joys, memories and nature. Lindsay has taught classes through local nonprofits Art 180 and Art on Wheels, and has been a part of the Hand / Thrown team since summer of 2019. She believes that art has healing powers, and can touch people’s lives by reducing stress, boosting self-esteem, and encouraging self-expression.

Moon Williams is a creator and educator. Key words she uses to describe herself and her workshops include: Alchemy, Flow, Connection, Release, Receive, Detail oriented, Empowering. She finds joy in creating objects that illuminate and adorn. Practicing since fall of 2020.
