A great course for first time handbuilders or experienced enthusiasts!

You’ll create beautiful clay forms using handbuilding techniques including pinch pottery, coiling and slab building. You’ll learn how to use slump and hump molds, as well as how to make molds out of everyday household items. You’ll explore some basic surface decoration techniques using sgraffito, colored slips, and underglaze to finish your work with a bang! Students must be 12 years of age or older. Classes are limited to 8 students.

As part of the class fee, all students enrolled in a multi-week class receive a 25-lb bag of stoneware clay, and firing for work made from that bag is included. The fee also includes up to 6 hours per week of self-guided Open Studio time for practice while the class is in session.

Please check our FAQ’s page for additional information on the studio and read our Cancelation Policy prior to booking!

This is a 6 week course and each class is 2.5 hours long. Tools are not included in multi-week classes; bring your own or purchase a kit from the studio! There must be 6 students registered to confirm.
